Business Manager (Finance)

SAIC, a leading systems, solutions and technical services company, is seeking qualified candidates to fill its Business Manager position located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will support the Logistics and Engineering Solutions Business Unit. The position is geared towards a mid level project controller or financial analysts with 5 years related experience. This position will report directly to the Operations Project Control Manager and will collaborate with a team of project controllers and other partner support functions (contracts, finance, AR, procurement, etc). The day to day primary responsibilities of this position will revolve around Project Financial Management and Reporting (PFMR). These duties involve working with program managers to develop a Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) that decomposes the technical work, a Basis of Estimate (BOE) to explain the assumptions, rationale, and cost to complete each element of work, and an Estimate at Completion (EAC) to outline the overall plan and budget to execute the program. These elements will be maintained routinely under the period of performance of a program. Once a program plan is in place, this position will track and analyze cost and schedule performance against the program plan and provide routine reports to the program manager that contain analysis to educate the program manager on where they are in terms of cost and schedule and what are the trends and projected future condition of the program. Qualified candidates should have related experiences and have the ability to interact with Project Managers, Control Account Managers, Contracts personnel, senior technical personnel, and other functional or support organizations. The position requires advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and a strong aptitude for learning financial systems and scheduling tools (i.e. SAP, Deltek Costpoint, MS Project, Project Scheduler 8). Candidate should have the aptitude to learn and grow into developing program schedules with scheduling tools (i.e. MS Project or Project Scheduler 8), Resource Loaded Networks (RLNs), Risk Analysis; implementing Earned Value (EV) and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) methodologies and performing related variance analyses, and providing costing, schedule, and RLN support for new business proposal development. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or directly related discipline with five (5) years experience in accounting/budgeting management on a multi-million dollar contract effort.
