Position Profile:
Coordinate evaluations of pilot efforts in the HGAP and other unit programs. Evaluate county plans for completeness and quality as-per the state homeless plan. Coordinate support to counties to implement the new Washington State Quality Award requirement. Provide backup Tier II support to the Homeless Management Information System as required by the HMIS Collaboration contract. Provide short-term support to the Homeless Grant Assistance Program to help clear a one-time backlog of contract work related to program start-up.
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience in community, trade or economic development.
· A graduate or advanced degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
· Professional level experience in community, trade or economic development will substitute, year for year, for education.
· Advanced experience using computer applications including databases and web applications.
· Experience in analyzing and coordinating activities in government and/or nonprofit agencies using a variety of techniques to provide effective technical assistance, and resolve complex problems.
· Demonstrated experience analyzing data using statistical techniques, using computer applications including spreadsheets and databases.
Preferred/Desirable Education, Experience and Competencies:
· Strong understanding of statistics, performance, and outcome measurement.
· Ability to independently determine, organize and prioritize workload.
· Ability to meet budget, grant and reporting deadlines with high degree of accuracy.
· Ability to operate telephone, copier, network printer, facsimile machine, and vehicle.
· Ability to travel regularly (variable during the year) that may include overnight stays and work days exceeding 8 hours.
· Demonstrated maturity and sound judgment.
· Demonstrated communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in English.
