JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision, with limited latitude for independent initiative and judgment, performs basic research, analysis and planning activities, including but not limited to: Assist in the collection, storage, maintenance and dissemination of data. Assist in assembling and presenting statistical and narrative materials relating to existing, required or proposed facilities. Assist in the preparation of capital budget requests for assigned local areas. Compile and abstract materials in preparing reports on community needs, preferences and program requirements for park facilities. Assist in the preparation of documentation to obtain design and/or construction services for capital projects.
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATION: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college; or An associate degree from an accredited college or completion of two (2) years of study (60 credits) at an accredited college and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time experience of the type listed under “Examples of Typical Tasks”; or Education and/or experience which is equivalent to above. However, all candidates must have completed at least 60 college credits. New York City residency required. We are an equal opportunity employer.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Strong writing and administrative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PhotoShop. Valid New York State driver license.
