Job Responsibilities: Prepare and/or review account distribution assignment and approval hierarchy controls on all vendor invoices Ensure timely submission to Corporate Accounting and monitor documentation control through submission logs and adherence to project record retention requirements Provide financial forecasts support on selected projects, to include actual versus forecast variance analysis Ensure the completeness of supplemental forecast assumption controls Prepare monthly invoice accruals; maintain controls to ensure outstanding vendor invoices are received Prepare monthly client invoices in accordance with client requirements and internal controls; maintain distribution instructions and submission logs Pursue collections on aged delinquency accounts; analyze and assess problematic receivables on a weekly basis; reconcile the internal invoice controls with cash receipts Perform documentation control on selected projects from RFP through project close out; maintains project document checklist and coordinate offsite record retention Maintain fixed assets inventory on PC and related equipment Assist in the conduct of internal audits Prepare routine and ad-hoc financial reports and analysis using MAXIMUS proprietary tools, ERP solutions and Excel Perform other duties as may be assigned by management

Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Three to five years of experience in accounting, contract administration, financial, or budget operations Prior experience in financial transaction processing for a government contracting firm, including CAS and FAR compliance, is desirable Ability to analyze and communicate financial data effectively, to include an advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting Strong variance analysis skills required Ability to execute financial transactions such as AP or AR at a high level of productivity and without errors or omissions Possess a high level of proficiency in MS Excel and Word and computer literacy Ability to maintain complete confidentiality Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline and detailed-oriented work environment Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
