Contracts/Pricing Representative
EAI, an operation of SAIC has an opening in Abingdon, MD, for a Contracts/Pricing Representative, in our Contracts Department. Job Description: Senior level contracts representative to support a high energy, exciting organization in one of the newest groups focusing on homeland security related goods and services contracting with the federal Government (DoD, DHS, and other civilian agencies), as well as state, local and commercial entities. Regularly interacts with senior management, performs tasks in the preparation of proposals, including RFP/RFQ analysis, pricing, contract negotiations and administration of contracting activities and interaction with customers in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, customer requirements, and sound business judgment. Reviews and analyzes contract documents to determine contractual obligations. Analyzes estimates of labor, material, equipment, production and other direct costs. Monitors company performance for conformance to original proposal and contract requirements, and participates in regular project reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that any problems are identified and resolved/mitigated in a timely manner. Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, deviations, negotiations and completion or termination. Responds to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions. Act as contract liaison between the company and customers/vendors, including participation in pre-contract discussions, contract negotiations and contract changes. Prepares special reports as required. May provide direction and guidance to others. This individual requires the potential and/or demonstrated ability to readily manage rapidly shifting work priorities and be a significant contributor to our contracts, and yet have the ability to work independently. Education: BA or BS in related field (accounting, finance, business), MBA preferred. Required Skills: 8+ years experience with CPFF, FFP, FFP/LOE, T&M, and IDIQ type contracts; must possess the ability to apply requirements of the FAR, as well as experience with negotiating commercial contracting terms and conditions. Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical, and written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interface well with customers (internal and external), and work in a fast paced environment and be able to multi-task. Must have strong word processing and spreadsheet computer skills, preferably using Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to design spreadsheets. Desired Skills: Familiarity with SAIC's Cost Estimating Manual requirements, and SAIC OCI Routing System, Fixed Price Review procedures, including corporate A-20 desired. Deltek CostPoint experience and knowledge and experience with DoD, DHS and GSA goods and services contracting is a plus.
