Security Officer Quality Standards An AlliedBarton Security Officer: • Comes to work; is on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned). • Has a neat, professional appearance and comes to work in complete and clean assigned uniform. • Has a friendly and professional demeanor and provides quality customer service. • Is a good communicator (both verbal and written) and is capable of handling typical and crisis situations both efficiently and effectively. • Understands and successfully executes his/her post orders including enforcement of client and company policies, rules and regulations. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION : The security supervisor is responsible for assisting the account manager to supervise, direct and implement the daily activities of the supervisory and security personnel assigned to their shift and facility. They must be knowledgeable of all company policies and procedures. In some instances, they may also be called a patrol lead or control center lead or shift lead. RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversee, direct and be accountable for the performance of control center operators, security officers and lobby receptionist operators assigned to their shift • Provide operational guidance and direction, in compliance with sound judgement and company policy during routine, urgent and emergency situations • Documents and tracks all training accomplishments and/or requirements of security officers on his/her shift • Assists in the development of site-specific and in-service training in conjunction with the account manager • Conducts on-the-job training for new personnel, or experienced personnel needing refresher training • Meet with each new employee prior to their field training. Review expectations, objectives, policies and procedures. Provide an operational overview and facility tour. Discuss AlliedBarton's values and how they are demonstrated in our day-to-day interactions. Discuss emergency response and incident command in detail • Ensure that all officers on their shift meet and/or exceed the following standards: Appearance and Grooming Site and Job Knowledge Respect for others/ Barton Anti-Harassment Policy Knowledge of Post and General Orders Pass Down Procedures Safety Emergency Response Procedures Customer Service Skills • Conducts post inspections as directed by the account manager to assist employees in correcting any issues or concerns that occur on post • Sets an uncompromising example to officers by maintaining a consistently professional appearance, good attitude, and work ethic • Maintain an open line of communication between officers and staff • Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, readiness, accounting for and safe use of all assigned equipment, including motor vehicles, on his/her shift • The patrol lead will maintain project continuum and statistics for monthly reports Security Officer Basic Qualifications: • Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements. • Must have a high school diploma or GED, or at least 10 years of verifiable employment history. • At least one verifiable employer. • No criminal convictions as specified under AlliedBarton guidelines. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing. • Authorized to work in the United States. • Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. • Negative result on pre-employment drug screen. • Successful completion of Allied’s Security Officer Basic Course exam. • Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard. • Neat and professional appearance. • Friendly and professional demeanor. • Ability to providing quality customer service. • Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively at client site.
