Opportunity to help lead NYC’s premier, nurse-led anti-poverty program! NFP is an evidence-based, nurse home visitation program that improves the health, well-being and self-sufficiency of low-income,high-risk first-time parents and their children. This opportunity is a return to true nursing:each nurse works one-on-one with a mother and child in their home to promote the mother and child’s health and development from pregnancy until the child’s 2nd birthday. NFP is a nationally replicated program that has been rigorously evaluated for 30 years and has demonstrated significant improvements in pregnancy outcomes,  parenting skills and family self-sufficiency.You will be responsible for programmatic oversight and management of NFP implementing sites, currently 9 sites throughout NYC,work within the local communities in partnership with NFP sites and within agency structure to ensure that NFP is receiving referrals of first-time, low-income mothers and that the NFP program is being implemented by the sites in accordance with established NFP guidelines and DOHMH requirements.  Apply online at www.nyc.gov/health/careers jvn search: 120787 or submit resume and cover letter to dlew@health.nyc.gov and slouis@health.nyc.gov
