Chenega Advanced Solutions & Engineering, LLC (CASE)Job Title: Data Analyst (Junior/Middle)Department: OperationsReports to: Program ManagerWork location: Cambridge, MAFLSA: Full-Time/ExemptChenega Advanced Solutions & Engineering, LLC (CASE) is seeking Data Analysts (Junior/Middle) in support of our customer, the U.S. Department of Transportation, at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, in Cambridge, MA. CASE is seeking candidates with a background in either economics, planning, public policy or statistical analysis to provide quantitative and qualitative research support for a broad range of operations and institutional issues. A background in the motor carrier industry, transportation, logistics, policy analysis or consulting a plus. Background and Experience: Successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in one of the above areas, plus excellent communications skills (writing and interpersonal). Duties and Responsibilities:- Consult on-site for nationally-recognized transportation research organization- Contribute as a team member to the development and completion of major operations research, policy analysis and quantitative assessment projects - Analyze complex data; integrate sources of information from various sources and of variable quality - Respond quickly and efficiently to a variety of data analysis requests, in support of project-related goals and deliverables- Generate easy-to-understand reports and statistically-based analysis to support policy-makers and senior executives involved in projects with high visibility and national significanceRequirements/Qualifications include:-Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-level research-oriented environment. Ability to present complex materials in a clear and concise writing style is a core requirement.- Competence in applying and analyzing data using statistical software such as SQL, SAS, E-Views, SPSS or STATA, preferred, but not requiredEducation and/or Experience:Junior/Middle: B.A./B.S/M.A./M.S. degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Public Policy, or Political Science and 0-3 years of project-related experience in one of the above areas, plus demonstrated excellence in communications skills (writing and interpersonal).Computer Skills:Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and OutlookCASE offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, including a generous 401(k) program with company match, no vesting period and immediate eligibility.
