#17262 – Desktop Information Assurance Technician

 

Responsibilities:

· Protect system information and resources according to established security policies and procedures. Scripting skills are required to create or modify scripting packages for patch management of desktop computers. 

· Prepare certification and accreditation (C&A) packages. 

· Protect the information systems and data against tampering by loading anti-virus software to detect the presence of viruses and by maintaining current signature files on 100% of desktops. 

· Limit access to privileged program files, utilities, and security relevant programs/data files to authorized personnel as designated by the appropriate security manager.  Each user shall be provided with only those privileges needed for the user’s assigned tasks, as defined by the authorized Government official.

 

Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.

· At least one year experience in a network environment performing computer security activities such as incident analysis and response, threat analysis and mitigation, vulnerability assessment, or computer forensics.

· At least one year of experience being responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and use, or evaluation of, industry standard information security technology products

· CISSP certification is a big plus!
