Summary of Job: The Director, Financial Systems & Processes will develop, maintain, and manage a department within Finance that oversees, controls and coordinates the various financial systems of the company in conjunction with the company’s IT department. Additionally, the Financial Systems department owns the system security (user access) and the process of detailed or transactional management reporting. Identifying, initiating and leading process improvement efforts within the finance department and/or in conjunction with other departments. The Director will also be the primary representative of the Finance department, under the authority of the VP Finance, on the IT Change Management Council. Other duties and responsibilities will be indicated as assigned. Responsibility: Responsible for overseeing financial system integrity and security. Responsible for all master data such as customer and vendor set up, controls, and maintenance. Responsible for overseeing successful implementation of financial systems in conjunction with IT. Responsible for leading process improvement efforts in connection with business process owners in Finance. Required Experience: Minimum 3 years in financial systems oversight, system integrity validation, design, implementation or development of large scale ERP systems or major financial modules within a multi-location, complex business environment. Minimum 3 years of management experience developing teams or supervising professional employees in IT or quasi-IT related areas. Minimum 5 years of direct Finance management experience such as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Plant Controller or Controller in a large corporation with background in design, execution or re-engineering of financial processing flows. Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or similar Experience with Visual Manufacturing system or Oracle financials (ERP) is highly desirable. Experience with Hyperion Essbase or a similar reporting tool is highly desirable. Required Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology from a 4 year accredited university. Masters degree in IT or MBA is desirable but not required.
