Director, Georgia Division of Family & Children Services

The Georgia Department of Human Resources is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director, Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS).

This executive level position is a member of the DHR Executive Leadership Team and reports directly to the Deputy Commissioner, COO of DHR. The incumbent will provide oversight and management of 7500 staff with a budget of approximately $1.2 billion consisting of state and federal funds. The Director develops and directs programs, policies, procedures, work standards and the preparation and administration of the Division’s budget.

The position is also accountable for the development, growth and maintenance of the Division including providing leadership, vision, and innovation in the development and implementation of strategically driven long and short-range goals.

Our ideal candidate will have 10 years executive experience in child welfare and financial management at a large government or private sector entity; Social Work or related credentials from an accredited College or University.
