Director of Public Services (PS) Compliance

Location: McLean, VA

 

A major management consulting firm seeks a talented finance professional with extensive DCAA and Government Reporting experience to work as a liaison between the Federal Government, PS Operations Group and the Corporate Government Finance and Accounting Group.

 

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for working as our Government Liaison with DCAA and coordinating internally with PS Operations and the Corporate Government Finance and Accounting Groups regarding all government compliance requirements, including all government audits such as system, CAS, and contract audits. Must possess excellent communication and analytical skills, is organized, can change directions quickly and is a team player.

 

Position Specific Responsibilities:

•Liaison between the Federal Government, Finance &Accounting Department, PS Operations Group and our Public Services line of business

•Coordinate and communicate with DCAA

•Work extensively with our Public Services line of business surrounding government compliance requirements

•Review of Policies and Procedures related to Government Contracting

•Interface with Executive level management including public services CFO and the Executive VP of Ops

•Manage a team of 10 employees

 

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelors Degree

•15+ years of relevant work experience in Consulting, Accounting with a company focused on government contracting

•10+ years of DCAA experience including liaison to DCAA for a medium to large business with at least $1 billion in revenue annually

•10+ years experience with FAR (Federal Accounting Regulations) and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards)

•7 years minium of demonstrated staff management 

 

Preferred Skills:

•CPA preferred

•Bachelors or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance a plus

•Large company experience in addition to 15+ years of experience showing strong progression in title and responsibility

•Outstanding leadership, negotiation and communication skills in addition to project management and implementation skills
