ROADS & DRAINAGE DIVISION

Qualifications:Three (3) years experience in the operation and maintenance of medium to heavy automotive, construction, or maintenance equipment, or completion of an Orange County department approved training program and two (2) years of experience. Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida class 'B' commercial driver’s license.

***Applicant(s) selected for all CDL required positions will be required to submit to random drug/alcohol tests.***

***All applicants selected for hire in the Public Works Department must successfully complete a Criminal History and Background Check.***  Duties Include:MAINTENANCE UNITS:
Operating complex equipment such as; back hoe (equal or less than twenty (20) foot reach), front-end loader (equal or less than three (3) yards), tandem dump truck, slope mower, and batwing mower. Exercising skills in manipulating equipment to properly perform tasks. Performing routine safety inspection of assigned equipment. Performing minor safety duties to check oil, fuel, water, and air as necessary; cleans and washes equipment. May set up barricades and act as spotter or flagman. Participating in general labor duties. Performing related work as required.  NOTE:ALL POSITIONS:
Working hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
