Emergency Management Specialist - JR
Position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of emergency management, specifically disaster preparedness, firefighting, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Defense, is similar skills. Position is not charged with personnel supervisory responsibilities. Position requires the ability to facilitate implementation of first and emergency responder equipment into existing base plans and programs at assigned location. Position requires the ability to review proposed Concepts of Operations and Concepts of Employment for technical applicability as well as for suitability to the program. Position requires the ability to prepare and deliver presentations for the AF Program Manager, Air Staff and Major Command counterparts on integration of enhanced equipment, training, and plans capability such as those provided by Project Guardian or CBRN-IPP. Position is required to be able to provide on-site technical review and revision assistance for Emergency Management / Project Guardian incident response planning documentation, technical guidance and contracts. Position is required to maintain accountability and conduct inventories of emergency response equipment. Ancillary duties will include; conducting mask serviceability testing, participation in EET activities as a tech advisor, review of emergency response checklists, shelf life management of PPE, and acting as tech advisors to installation emergency response functions during actual response operations. Position may be required to attend and present program goals at conferences as required. Ideal candidate will have an Air Force background in Emergency Management or Fire Protection or related Emergency Response Fields. Candidate must be able to obtain or retain a valid security clearance. Positions are available nationwide now through FY11. Special emphasis on Alaska, Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Florida.
