Energy Analyst

SAIC’s Energy Solutions Operation is experiencing dynamic growth and seeks a highly motivated, customer-oriented Energy Analyst to join our team. This position is open Nationwide with Pittsburgh PA being the administrative location. Telecommuting is available for this position. This position supports the Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) efforts to provide additional insight and updated information on the life cycle cost and environmental analysis or assessment (LCA) of energy systems EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 0-2 years experience in environmental, engineering, or related field. Experience with life cycle analysis desired. Excellent writing and research skills are essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required to deal with clients on a daily basis. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct literature searches - Gather recent cost and performance data - Develop LCA assumptions and methodologies, including technical, cost estimation, and economic performance assumptions - Identify applicable environmental regulations that will be met by the systems - Perform assessments including process-based LCA and/or economic-based LCA - Review technical papers and conduct interviews to develop an understanding of the proposed concepts and the boundaries of technology performance. - Determine technical, economic, and environmental performance assessed cases in the form of a conceptual design. - Thorough documentation of assumptions, methodologies, and results - Preparation and delivery of formal presentations Company: SAIC Location: Pittsburgh, PA Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Biotech/R&D/Science Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Company: SAIC Reference Code: 110564
