As an important member of the Mission Assurance group, reporting to the Director of Quality Engineering, you will be providing Quality Engineering support of programs, work with Program Managers, and perform other functions to provide seamless execution of contracts and provide Quality Planning for products. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Program/Project Quality Engineering, working with Program Manager and other functions -Providing Quality planning of product. - Investigate and lead resolution of Quality problems - Administrative duties in support of Quality Management System - Administration of Calibration program, administration of technical documents, internal auditing of area, preparing documentation for end-items - Perform some inspection of materials and parts to Purchase Order, Work Order, and Procedure Requirements - Provide accurate records of inspection - Problem Solver with Continuous Improvement background - Drive MRB and MCAB resolution - Write procedures and generate reports in support of the quality system and its performance - Able to support other ATK facilities on extended duration rotationsQUALIFICATIONSTo perform successfully in this role, we believe candidates should have the following education, skills, and experience.Education:BS Engineering in a related field or 15+ years of related experience will be considered in lieu of degree or MS Engineering with 2 yrs experienceSkills Required:- Must have 4+ years aerospace experience in Quality Engineering and Quality Control or MS technical degree and 2 years related experience - Familar with composites structures- composite material saturated with resin and molded into shape on tools or molds with a vacuum bag process - Must be familiar with standard Mechanical Inspection techniques and tools - Must be able to read Blue Prints and other Technical Data - Experience with ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems - Confidence to enforce Quality Management System, while also working as part of a team - Experience with Six Sigma techniques - MS Office computer skills required. MS Access experience is a plus - Self starter with the ability to work with little supervision - Good time management skills Other Information:Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a Security Clearance.
