FACILITIES ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Annual Salary Range: $75,026 to $95,763 (DOQ)

Tacoma Power’s Generation Section is seeking a motivated, experienced electrical engineer to perform professional electrical engineering work in the design, specification, installation, maintenance and repair of facilities electrical and electronic systems. Systems include 600V and below power distribution and circuiting, standby power generation, power conditioning, uninterruptible power supply, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm, access control, CCTV and security monitoring systems.  Duties include conferring with internal customers to meet their facilities electrical needs, troubleshooting problems with existing systems, and developing and administering contracts pertaining to facilities electrical systems.

Desired Qualifications:  The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering, possession of a State of Washington Professional Engineer License, and five years experience in facilities electrical engineering design for commercial office buildings. Knowledge of the latest addition of National Electrical Code, State of Washington WAC 296, City of Tacoma Electric Code, and Washington State Energy Code is required.
