Facilities Manager

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), the nation’s most dynamic and complex mass transit system, whose network of subways, commuter rail lines, buses, bridges and tunnels move over 8 million people daily, is seeking an experienced FACILITIES MANAGER to join our Facilities and Building Management department.

Reporting to the Deputy Director Facilities Operation & Support, the successful candidate will direct and manage a workforce engaged in the maintenance and repair activities associated with MTA Headquarter buildings and facilities. BA/BS in Building Management, Architecture or Engineering plus minimum fifteen (15) years experience in building management of which at least six (6) years must be in a supervisory capacity. Proven knowledge of building codes, general construction, facility repairs and safety best practices are mandatory. Certification as A Fire Safety Director desirable. Strong PC skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong staff and, project management skills, required. Incumbent will be On-Call 24/7.
