Facilities Technician As the primary transportation agency for Orange County, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) provides efficient transportation programs and services for the county.  Our responsibilities extend to all forms of transportation including extensive bus and paratransit service, Metrolink commuter rail service in Orange County, planned future rail, freeways, streets and road improvement projects, motorist services and regulating taxi operations.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this position you would work to keep our OCTA bus bases and facilities running and looking great!  You would be performing plumbing, carpentry, electrical, roofing, painting and general maintenance repairs to OCTA building and facilities.  You would conduct inspections of buildings, facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will have the ability to diagnose malfunctions and make skilled and semi skilled repairs of 110/220 volt electrical circuits.  Knowledge of construction and applicable codes related to minor repairs. Must also be able to estimate equipment and materials required for general maintenance.  Carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs are required as well. This position pays $19.24 an hour to start plus health, dental, vision benefits and a pension plan.Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent and demonstrated responsible working experience in general maintenance of building and facilities to include lighting and low voltage electrical repairs, plumbing, pipe fitting. Use of hand/power tools.
