JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Installs, adjusts, modifies, verifies, calibrates, and tests operation of power distribution systems, specialized electrical systems and panels, circuitry, electrical chassis, appliances, and portable electrical equipment in accordance with all state and federal electrical codes and ordinances.
· Performs work according to verbal instructions, work orders, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical publications, and instructional bulletins.
· Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical panels and power distribution systems according to manufacturers specifications and best practice methods.
· Performs installation and maintenance of cathodic protection devices.
· Observes pressure gauges and adjusts controls to ensure proper operation to ensure safe and efficient operation of the system and to meet demands for the service providers
· Observes, documents, and interprets readings on gauges, meters, and charts registering various aspects of system operation.
· Maintains equipment documentation and operational records; enters data related to work order completion into work management system.
· Performs in-process quality control inspections of electrical equipment and systems
· Participates in function-specific safety training.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Years Experience: Four years of journeyman level experience (in the past seven years) in the operation and maintenance of complex electrical power distribution equipment and systems in a facility 500,000 sq. ft. or larger.
Minimum Educational Requirements: Must have a current journeyman commercial/industrial license issued by the City of Philadelphia or other accredited board. Must be accredited by the National Electrical Testing Association.
Required Skills, Licenses, and Certifications: Knowledge of the use of specialized tools to perform necessary maintenance and functions and to troubleshoot equipment. Must be able to read and interpret specifications, operation manuals, diagrams, and blueprints. Working knowledge of operation and maintenance requirements of electrical equipment and systems. Working knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, and safety practices. Through knowledge of standard practices and operating procedures. Capability to obtain IRS Security Clearance Must possess valid state driver's license Must be tax compliant
