Products manufactured by this group include concealable and tactical body armor, hard armor, duty gear, less-lethal munitions, anti-riot products, police batons, emergency lighting products, forensic products, firearms accessories, weapon maintenance products, foldable ladders, backpacks and specialty gloves. Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to Account Managers, Distributors and End Users in the Western US and to act as the Product Specialist or “Expert” in regards to female end users in the Federal Channel. To work closely with the Savvy Body Armor brand and assist each of the brands in developing products specifically for the female end user. Continually review the marketplace for changing trends and or new product developments. Maintain a “dotted line” relationship with the Business Unit ensuring open communication between the field and manufacturing. Works hand in hand with the Senior Technical Specialist in competitive analysis of all products and in conducting training where needed. Duties and responsibilities: •Travels throughout Domestic U.S. with Account Managers or key distributors to call on regular and prospective customers building relationships with both end user and distributors in order to increase overall brand awareness. •Demonstrates and/or displays product lines, while also displaying a high degree of knowledge on each product in the product line. •Works closely with the Senior Specialist and Account Managers to provide an insight into the competition and pricing needed to win business on commodity items. •Works closely with the Marketing Directors of the assigned Business Units to develop new female friendly products. •Works closely with the Savvy business unit to ensure success in the Federal Channel. •Works closely with Account Managers and where appropriate key distributors as well as key agency individuals to spec products within the agency. •Provides high level of customer service by responding to inquiries from Account Managers, Customer Service, and /or end users via “ask the expert”. •Conducts Product Training for new Account Managers, Military and Government Sales, key distributors as well as end users at an agency •Handle special projects as assigned. •Prepares and submits weekly detailed expense report. •Travel requirement is 70% •Task and Goals report bi-weekly to Senior Specialist and VP of Sales for review •Meets productivity standards, completing work in a timely manner. Experience & Qualifications: •5 years Federal, Military or Law Enforcement background preferred due to having to be familiar and comfortable handling firearms and munitions. •Sales experience a strong plus •Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written required •Must possess excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Presentations and must also be very comfortable with email •Pleasant demeanor and ability to work well within a team structure •Must possess a high degree of self-motivation, drive, and the ability to get the job done in a what-ever-it-takes environment •Excellent and efficient organization skills •Overnight travel, including week + trips, are required •Resides in the area of assignment People are the greatest asset in any Company ...
