Functional Program Manager

Planned Systems International, a Government Contractor celebrating their 20th year of operations, has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced Functional Program Manager to support one of our Government customers in Falls Church, VA.



Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

As a Functional Program Manager supporting Defense Business Transformation, the selected candidate will ensure new information management/information technology requirements meet all compliance requirements in the following areas: enterprise architecture; development; integration; configuration management; assessment; process management & documentation; and security. Subject matter expertise will be provided directly, or in coordination with support service contracts/contractors, for all of Military Health Systems (MHS) and Air Force Medical Systems (AFMS) as directed by the AFMS Chief Technology Office. Successful candidate will act as senior advisor to functional medical SME's on a multitude of programs.

Required Qualifications:


Requires a BS degree; Computer Science, Business Administration, Medical Administration, or Human Resource Management and 7+ years of relevant experience. Experience must include excellent technical leadership, interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills as well as knowledge/experience with enterprise-wide technology areas (i.e., systems architecture, networking, databases, security compliance, etc.). Must have excellent technical leadership, interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills. Must be able to multi-task and be self-sufficient in the MS Office Suite.

Minimum work hours are 0730-1630. Some travel and extended hours may be required to get the job done.

U.S. Citizenship is required. In addition, selected applicants will be subject to a government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and obtain a Government-granted Security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of healthcare administration and operations highly desired. Knowledge of Military Health System program offices and procedures a plus. Masters Degree preferred. Must be able to travel and maintain a work schedule between 0730 and 1630.
