Using Grainger’s unparalleled value proposition, the Government Site Relationship Manager will be responsible for maximizing Grainger sales opportunities for a designated account package by growing sales within existing accounts and supporting the existing account strategy. This individual will act in support of the assigned Government Account Manager. This is an entry-level sales position, with opportunity to grow within the sales organization. • Understand Grainger’s Value Proposition and match it against customer needs to provide solutions and grow profitable sales. • Identify individuals who can initiate an order or influence a buying decision. • Demonstrate full compliance to company sales and pricing guidelines. • Consistently seek new product knowledge and understand competitive environment. • Fully leverage all resources and technical support provided by Grainger. • Execute on account and contact/penetration strategy as defined by management.Position Requirements:• Self-motivated, possessing a high energy level, and a desire to win. • Excellent communication skills and technologically savvy. • Ability to listen, gain trust, and bring to closure an action, project, resolution or sale with customers. • Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, determine appropriate approach and provide solutions. • Knowledge of MRO products and their applications. • College degree preferred, but not required; or equivalent experience. • Experience with government accounts is a plus.Position Attributes:Forbes Magazine named Grainger as one of America's 100 Most Trustworthy Companies along with ranking us one of the top 500 companies for 2007.
