ITIL Process Management Consultant

SAIC's Homeland Security Solutions Division currently has an opening for an ITIL Process Management Consultant. JOB DESCRIPTION: Scope: The position is responsible for the transition of new customer network/Infrastructure services, encompassing technical delivery management aspects. The candidate is responsible for all tasks required to transition a new customer site from the Service Delivery to Service Support group. This position is responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of complex, cross-functional work efforts for IT projects. Responsibilities also include: • Act as a policy guardian for the service delivery management process, including responsibility for standards and revisions of procedures and forms as appropriate. • Responsible for broadcast or focused communications informing different groups about situations impacting systems availability. • Facilitates necessary post-mortem meetings to discuss and perform root cause analysis as well as process involvement on coordinated response. • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, collaborative, team environment. • Communicate results through graphical models, written documents, and presentations. • Develop and recommend operational processes and/or process improvements in Service Delivery. • Document and maintain process models, data/domain models, use cases, business rules, and functional specifications. • Gather information by facilitating workshops, conducting interviews, performing research, and shadowing workers. REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and 5+ years of related experience and should be very well versed in ITIL Service Delivery and/or Service Support. This individual must possess knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools. This individual shall possess knowledge and expertise in the field of transition management and/or logistics management. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in baseline management of software, hardware, software licenses, topology and other related documentation. On occasion the individual may be called on to support the deployment of IT hardware and software.
