Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.CH2M HILL OMI is seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager.  The purpose of this position is to manage all functions associated with the management of the City’s information technology systems. Responsible for coordinating and directing the design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of all computer operations for the city. Plans for and directs the best application of available technology resources; and provides technical infrastructure assistance and support to City staff.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plans for the long range direction of information technology needs for the City Directs and participates in the design, development, installation, and administration of approved computer applications Manages and provides technical assistance and support regarding hardware, software and telecommunications systems; oversees installation process for all computer equipment and peripherals Identifies systems problems and makes recommendations for system modifications or develops solutions Manages and coordinates contract activities with service providers Responsible for the development, coordination and maintenance of ongoing relationships with hardware, software, consulting and employee resource vendors to insure that the City’s system is adequately supported and maintained Provides and oversees the provision of technical expertise, guidance, troubleshooting, problem analysis, and training to users; designs and produces data reports for management, staff, and other pertinent parties Directs and participates in evaluating, planning, developing, providing, recommending, and implementing timely and cost-efficient solutions to address information technology needs Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, standards, requirements, guidelines, and budgetary constraints Develops, implement and maintains a Disaster Recovery Plan that ensures the City’s system is protected and that processing requirements are met in the vent of an occurrence Manages the day to day operations of the department, evaluates unit workload, assigns tasks, monitors progress and provides guidance and training as required Communicates with city staff and others, and obtains all required information to address their specific needs, such as request for hardware, software, training, program applications, installations Maintains updates, creates databases and reports for asset management, inventory audits, and usage of all computer assets Verifies the proper recording and filing of the original license for installed software Develops and documents installation requirement orders for the configuration team and installers Plans, monitors and controls department’s expenditures Responsible for the selection, supervision, training and evaluation of assigned personnel engaged; foster a teamwork environment and function as a strong team leader of a technical staff Ensures all work is done in alignment with established city policies and requirements Performs other similar duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or a related field Three (3) years experience programming and providing technical support in a multi-platform computer environment Must posses a valid state drivers license In addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate would meet the following preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or a related field Five (5) years experience programming and providing technical support in a multi-platform computer environment Knowledge of project planning and execution principles and methods, inventory control and recordkeeping technology Advanced knowledge of PC software, including word processing, spreadsheets and database management programs Advanced knowledge PC hardware including personal computers, printers, peripherals and installation procedures Excellent verbal and communications skills Strong analytical abilities Ability to research design techniques, methods and procedures Ability to work effectively with mangers in other functional areas and participate in problems solving processes Ability to properly interpret and make decisions conforming established City’s IT regulations and policies Benefits: Medical and Dental Plans Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Short Term and Long Term Disability Income 401(k) Plan with company match Employee Ownership Paid Time Off Program Flexible Work Scheduling Business Casual Dress Learning and Development Opportunities Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program Voluntary Auto and Homeowners InsuranceCompany Profile:Employee-owned CH2M HILL is a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction and operations for public and private clients.
