Information Technology Specialist, ZP-2210-II/III

The NOAA Fisheries Service is seeking several experienced Information Systems developers, experienced in Oracle database and Java development. Successful applicants will serve as both system developers and maintainers, supporting a variety of information systems. Experience, expertise, and efficiency in Oracle database development is required.

the Organization -
Based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, the Northeast Regional Office (NERO) of the NOAA Fisheries Service administers NOAA's programs in the Northeastern United States to efficiently manage living marine resources.

NERO is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing programs for fishery management, resource allocations, and habitat and protected species (endangered and threatened species and marine mammals) conservation.

The Northeast Regional Office is a friendly Government environmental agency monitoring the ocean resources. The IRM team is a professional, productive, supportive, and fun team to work with. The location is in historic Gloucester and provides many recreational activities that can be integrated in to the work day. Work hours are flexible and the Government benefits are great above and beyond the salary. The position annually earns a minimum of four weeks of vacation, including ten holidays.
