Experience/Certifications/Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, or related discipline required – relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Knowledgeable in a multi-platform operating environment. May work with Voice and/or Data Communications Analysts. Requires excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) with the ability to interface with clients (in person, over the phone, and via Video Teleconferences). Strong problem solving/analytical skills and the ability to understand new technologies quickly are essential. Candidate must possess strong proficiency with computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite. Candidate must be able to operate reliably and efficiently without direct supervision.
Travel: 25% to locations predominantly within the U.S with possible overseas locations.
Security Clearance: Secret. Must be eligible for a Top Secret security clearance.
Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States at the time of hire.
Description: Responsible for the overall integration of the enterprise-wide network including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the corporate LAN/WAN (may include local, metropolitan, and wide area networks). Has responsibility for technical architecture and recommendations related to LAN/WAN. Is typically a top-level technical contributor with advanced knowledge and experience in the area of local and wide area networking, communications, and related hardware/software. Maintains high level of technical expertise and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet organization needs. Presents information to management, which may result in the purchase and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment. Recommends network security procedures and policies. Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Must be knowledgeable of National, DoD, and AF Information Assurance (IA) policies, procedures, and objectives. Develop and submit recommended policy directives, instructions, manuals, standards, strategies, visions, mission statements, goals and objectives as they apply to architectures, cross domain solutions (CDS) networks, systems, and devices that support information sharing with coalition partners. Recommend changes to update and/or create new roles, responsibilities, policies, and procedures for those governing documents.
· Support certification and accreditation (C&A) of CDS by ensuring documents comply with National, DoD, and AF directives, instructions, etc. Coordinates with DAAs, PMOs, user reps, and system owners to maintain Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) packages, conduct risk and vulnerability assessments, and perform other IA support duties. Evaluate system security architectures for Category I and/or II vulnerabilities, validate proper use of DoD/AF IA controls, and recommend fixes.
· Aggregate, validate and insert coalition and secure networking requirements into Air Force and Joint capabilities requirements processes. Keep abreast of technology advances that increase integration and interoperability; assess, translate, and recommend COTS/GOTS technologies into operational technical requirements to support of end-to-end classified/ unclassified coalition architectures and solutions.
· Provide technical expertise to the Air Force voting member at coalition and secure networking forums such as the Multi-National Information Sharing (MNIS) Office, the Cross-Domain Solutions Working Group (CDSWG), the Cross-Domain Solution Assessment Panel (CDSAP), the Cross-Domain Technical Advisory Board (CDTAB).
· Correspondence - Prepare executive-level papers, briefings, reports, correspondence, etc., as required for presentation to Air Staff, AFCA, MAJCOMs, and working groups at AF, and DoD levels.
