Basic function:
Plans, organizes, leads and controls all personnel assigned to the Department.
Education and experience:
4 year College Degree with 3 years experience or 10 years supply-related experience, preferably at least 5 years of which involved managerial responsibilities. Must have general computer skills and Microsoft Office program skills.
Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a good working relationship with the Project Manager and contracting officer’s representative (COR) in the execution of all contract provisions for NISMO and its detachments. Professionally represent the company in dealings with the customer, suppliers, sub-contractors, and other government agencies. Provide clear, firm, and consistent leadership while fostering a team culture built on the company’s core values of individual accountability, growth, safety, respect, integrity, and commitment. Remain adaptable, calm, and deliberate under conditions of stress. Provide the leadership and management necessary to achieve the highest levels of performance in the following areas: supply / logistics and sub-contract solicitation and management. Invite, accept, consider, and act on constructive criticism that will improve quality and efficiency. Hire, indoctrinate, train, and promote only the most qualified individuals. Develop, implement, monitor, and modify supply and property processes and procedures intended to enable the timely, effective, and cost effective completion of all key projects. Effectively communicate and coordinate with all individuals and organizations charged with the accomplishment of those tasks required to satisfy all contractual obligations. Execute necessary cost control procedures designed to properly estimate, execute, and account for all tasks performed. Submit required budget and financial reports to Project Manager for review. Ensure all tasks required in the procurement, receipt, storage, inventory management, issue, budget development and accountability of all materials, equipment, and supplies required to operate NISMO are effectively and efficiently completed. Maintenance of databases, accounting systems, and applicable material and property funds. Coordination, recordkeeping, and reporting of all actions connected with disposal and cannibalization / stripping of assigned ships. Provide timely, accurate, complete correspondence, reports, and supporting documentation to the Project Manager. Brief Project Manager each week on the status of all ongoing and planned projects. Maintain the highest achievable physical security of all assigned equipment and materials. Travel as necessary to conduct company business. Maintain a good working relationship with shop stewards.
