Job Responsibilities:Oversee project operations in a GAIN region and ensure administration of the CalWORKs program is in compliance with all contractual, state, and federal requirements Assume complete understanding of County of Los Angeles GAIN contract, county computer information systems, CalWORKs eligibility requirements, county service delivery and payment systems, reporting requirements, etc Provide direct programmatic supervision for a group of GAIN supervisors Oversee daily project operations and monitor to ensure compliance with project goals, including Work Participation Rates (WPR), County program standards/outcomes and measures Act as a liaison for Specialized Supportive Services (SSS), Linkages and other specialized programs, with County designated staff Monitor and ensure that operations staff comply and respond timely to State Appeals and Hearing requests and decisions Ensure quality assurance issues and corrective actions are completed and submitted timely Serve as Complaint Liaison and ensure timely response and corrective action to concerns filed by participants, advocates, community colleges, legal services, County staff, etc. Responsible for assisting with staff training, when appropriate Perform other duties as may be assigned by management
Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR four years of experience in human services programs; AND four years of supervisory experience in case management or social program administration Experience with TANF/CalWORKs programs preferred Competency in the use of personal computers, including word processing and spreadsheet programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
