Network Administrator-Intermediate

The current position is with Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I3) and contracted to the Department of Defense.  Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Ø  Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and usage of the company’s local area network. 

Ø  Solid understanding of IP networking and all associate components

Ø  Helps to manage network performance and maintains network security. 

Ø  Helps to ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced.  Installs all network software. 

Ø  Troubleshoots network problems. 

Ø  Detailed knowledge of Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco Firewalls, Checkpoint, Windows 2003, XP, and Linux and system networking

Ø  Experience with NetApp or other enterprise storage IP based infrastrure, biometrics, DoD networking policies, and enterprise telecommunications is a plus.

Ø  Candidate will work under general direction and must be able to work independently or a member of a team. 

Ø  Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills,  be customer- and detail-oriented, and possess good decision-making abilities. 

 

Position Location: Fairmont/Clarksburg area of West Virginia

 

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required in addition to three years of working experience in information technology.  Major pluses for the Network Engineer include certifications including CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE.
