The candidate must have exceptional skills in Ethernet based networks to include administrative capabilities with Cisco routers, and switches. Juniper firewall familiarity is a plus. Knowledge of network cabling both copper and fiber based is desired. Candidate must be well versed in network principles to include the OSI and TCP/IP models. The candidate must have a strong UNIX administration background, with specific emphasis on Solaris and Linux operating systems. The candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of implementing security configurations at the OS level as well at the application level. Other duties will include monitoring, troubleshooting, supporting operating systems and hardware problems in complex multi-tiered environments. The candidate must be an excellent team member, unafraid to assume ownership, and be able to work independently when required.Bachelor's degree and five to seven years of experience. Pertinent work experience may offset degree requirements.
