POLICE RECORDS MANAGER
Announcement #01244R
This is a full-time managerial position responsible for technical and administrative functions that plan, coordinate, and supervise the receipt, processing, storage, and retrieval of police information.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in public or business administration, criminal justice, or a related field; training in the application of computer technology to record or retrieve large bodies of information; and two (2) or more years of experience in records management, including two (2) or more years of supervisory experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with a strong customer service background, proven ability to manage a diverse workgroup producing time-sensitive quality information products, and excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.
Successful candidates will also have experience with FoxPro and FOCUS programming languages; experience implementing new, large-scale mainframe systems; familiarity handling requests made under the Maryland Public Information Act; and familiarity with state and federal criminal justice information systems. The selection process includes a comprehensive background investigation.
