Description of Work:

POSITION FUNCTIONS AS AN INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER AND REPORTS DIRECTLY TO THE TRAINING DIRECTOR.  DESIGNS AND DEVELOPS WORKPLACE LEARNING SOLUTIONS IN MULTIPLE FORMAT.  WITH GUIDANCE FROM DIVISION DIRECTOR, POSITION WORKS WITH SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS AND TEAM MEMBERS TO CREATE LEARNING SOLUTIONS THAT MEET SPECIFIED DOR PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES. POSITION WILL DEVELOP LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND VARIED LEARNING PRODUCTS SUCH AS CLASSROOM TRAINING MANUALS, INSTRUCTOR GUIDES, ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAMS, BLENDED LEARNING CURRICULA, EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING EXERCISES, CASE STUDIES, AND JOB AIDS.  MAJOR INITIATIVES INCLUDE LARGE SCALE COMPUTER SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATIONS, CONVERTING CLASSROOM TRAINING TO ONLINE, EXPERIENTIAL, AND BLENDED LEARNING, AND ASSISTING WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

ABILITY TO FUNCTION WITH MINIMUM SUPERVISION AS A CONSULTATIVE PROFESSIONAL; SOLID KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN TECHNIQUES, ADULT LEARNING THEORY, AND WEB-BASED DEVELOPMENT TOOLS; PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN LEARNING SOLUTION (INSTRUCTIONAL) DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF MULTIPLE TYPES (TEAM-LED CLASSROOM-BASED MATERIALS, JOB AIDS, ASSESSMENTS, SIMULATIONS, AND E-LEARNING MODULES); KNOWLEDGE OF LEARNING SOLUTIONS DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT, MODELS AND TOOLS; DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN LEARNING SOLUTIONS NEEDS ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION; ABILITY AND WILLINGNESS TO ADAPT STANDARD ISD METHODOLOGY TO THE REALITIES AND CONSTRAINTS OF REVENUE BUSINESS; DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO ESTABLISH POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH A VARIETY OF INDIVIDUALS AT ALL LEVELS WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION; ABILITY TO WORK WITHIN TIGHT TIMELINES WHILE MAINTAINING A HIGH LEVEL OF ACCURACY; DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CLIENTS; EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL SKILLS; EXCELLENT ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS.

Training and Experience Requirements:



GRADUATION FROM A FOUR YEAR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY AND THREE YEARS EXPERIENCE IN PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION IN A SPECIALIST OR ADMINISTRATIVE CAPACITY INVOLVING THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROPOSED POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, AND THE APPLICATION AND INTERPRETATION OF POLICIES AND PROCEDURES IN AT LEAST ONE OF THE PROGRAM AREAS ASSIGNED TO THE POSITION; OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.

 

MANAGEMENT PREFERENCES:  KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH HUMAN PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT METHODS, LEARNER-CENTRIC PHILOSOPHY IN DESIGN, CURRICULUM, AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT.
