JOB DUTIES:

 

The Nuclear Medicine Physician Assistant performs diagnostic and therapeutic examination of the human body and specifically the coronary vessels at the request or direction of a physician in the area of  non-invasive Nuclear Medicine Clinic.

 

The Nuclear Medicine Physician Assistant is qualified by specific technological education to perform cardiovascular & non-cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.  The role of the Physician Assistant WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

 

Reviewing and recording pertinent patient data performing appropriate procedures and obtaining a record of pathological and physiological data for interpretation by a physician for cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular studies.  Exercising judgment in the performance of cardiovascular diagnosis.  Under the supervision and responsibility of a supervising Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Physician Assistant elicits a comprehensive health history, performs a comprehensive physical examination, diagnostic laboratory determination and performs nuclear treadmill and pharmacological stress procedures.
