Pool Supervisor

NATURE OF WORK:

Performs entry level professional work ensuring the health and safety of all aquatic patrons in multiple aquatic facilities, including accident prevention in and around the pool, rescue and care of accident victims and emergency communications. Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.  Performs on site administration, record keeping and provides a positive image for the City of Orlando.

WORK LOCATION: Engelwood Pool

WORK SCHEDULE includes rotating shifts.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Two years of college and two years of experience lifeguarding and planning aquatic programming. Experience should include some knowledge of pool maintenance; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.  Certified Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool and Spa Operator (CPO) Certification must be obtained within six months of employment.  Requires the following licenses/certificates: American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer; American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor; and American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor.  Valid Florida driver license required.  Must pass police background investigation, which includes a polygraph examination.

VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE IS REQUIRED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW.

COPIES OF LICENSES/CERTIFICATES MUST BE PROVIDED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW.
