Process Engineer

Will coordinate and support activities in the manufacture of fire suppression systems. Ensures manufacturing processes, engineering projects, production yields, new product introductions and cost reductions are in conformance with company's established policies and objectives. Provides ideas for operations teams on process improvement opportunities. Propose and support Kaizen events throughout the plant to affect rapid change.

Lead problem solving and root cause analysis to improve product yield, product cost and manufacturing throughput including the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.

Review manufacturing processes for logical flows, maximum throughput and cost effectiveness, both before and after engineering releases to manufacturing.

Support and coordinate activities of preparing manufacturing plans, capital equipment, costs, methods, standards and tools / fixtures for new product introduction.

Review and implement engineering change orders relative to routings, standards, methods and tools/fixtures.

Lead the initiation and implementation of cost reduction projects and process improvement.

Perform other duties as required or assigned.



BS in engineering or related field required.

Minimum of 2 years experience as a manufacturing engineer or related role in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment.

Experience with machining, electromechanical assembly and control & instrumentation manufacturing process preferred but not required.

Excellent statistical and problem solving methods.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Must be able to interface with different levels in the organization to facilitate changes.
