SUMMARY OF THE JOB: Responsible for all programming and operational training of multi-axis numerical control laser cutting machines for manufacturing. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Provide CNC Laser programming and machine set-up for cutting various materials. Experience with other thermal cutting machines not limited to high definition plasma, punch/plasma and waterjet. 2.Must be capable of using nesting software to optimize various plate sizes. Experience with SigmaNEST software a must. 3.Must have experience in using AutoCAD and the ability to generate DXF’s. 4.Real time experience with Fanuc, Siemens and Mazatrol controllers. Must have experience in writing and programming in G code. 5.Compare and monitor numerical data displayed matching cutting perimeters and operations sheets. 6.Capable of presetting the machine, operating and making adjustments for cutting operations. 7.Replace consumable tools, mirrors and the ability to focus the machine at specified change points to reduce machine wear. 8.Operates machine on preliminary dry run before cutting first part to detect errors in program. 9.Will provide technical assistance and guidance to other laser operations. 10.Ensure compliance with federal and state laws. 11.Perform all duties in a safe manner. 12.Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Associates degree in manufacturing/computer sciences or equivalent is required, with minimum 2 years CNC Laser Cutting, machine set up and operation experience.
