Detector Electronics Corporation is a rapidly growing, mid-sized global manufacturer and leader in flame and gas detection and a solutions provider of fire and gas protection systems.

Detector Electronics has an opening for a Proposal Engineer. This role is responsible for the timely preparation and distribution of high-quality, detailed technical proposals for domestic and international customers. The successful candidate will assist Sales, Project Managers, and customers in reviewing and evaluating required specifications and providing detailed proposals with equipment and system configurations that meet specification requirements.

Qualified candidates will have one to three years experience in a similar role, preferably in fire & gas instrumentation and safety system applications. Sales skills/experience preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills, good organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work quickly and accurately to meet project deadlines, are required. A BS degree or equivalent technical training is preferred.
