The Quality Engineer will plan, organize and execute technical projects for engineering support of manufacturing programs. You will conceive and execute projects involving production activities, exploration of product and process problems, definitive selection of new concepts and approaches in manufacturing operations. Working resourcefully and independently you will support investigations involving application of technical principles. Active involvement in new product development projects and performing detailed testing on products for manufacturability and reliability. The selected individual will be actively involved in the roll-out of the company's quality system, ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence).

BS degree with a major in appropriate Engineering discipline plus a minimum 4 years of progressively responsible experience.

Candidate must have experience as a functioning member of a Material Board with the ability to analyze non-conformances for disposition. Must have experience interfacing with suppliers, customers and customer and/or Agency Representatives. Candidate must have the ability to analyze nonconforming data for trends and be responsible for determining root cause and corrective action as required. Candidate must have experience reviewing and approving drawings, purchase orders and contracts for Quality clauses and requirements. Candidate must have the ability to interface with suppliers on any nonconformance issues as well as perform on site surveys/assessments of suppliers.

Requires knowledge of quality systems and quality processes to support the Quality Management System and company quality initiatives. Strong familiarity with industry, national and international regulatory agencies standards. Requires outstanding written and verbal communications skills. Proficient at Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
