Reprographic Equipment Operator

The City of Torrance is currently seeking an individual skilled in programming and operating a Kodak/Nexpress or Heidelberg Digimaster 9110 & 9150, and Canon CLC4000. Experience in using bindery and finishing equipment, to produce a variety of flyers, brochures, newsletters, books and forms is required.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to “multi-task” and work well in a fast-paced, high volume environment and have excellent customer service. 

Minimum Requirements

One year of experience with programmable electrostatic copiers and commercial bindery equipment, and a valid Class C California Driver’s License is required.  Also, working on average of 5 hours per week of overtime is also required.  Knowledge of the computerized desktop publishing environment and digital workflow production is desirable, as well as an understanding of stockroom and inventory procedures.

Examples of Duties

· Operate high speed programmable electrostatic photocopy equipment to reproduce various documents according to specific requirements which may include: paper size, composition, color or reduction of oversize originals to specified dimensions.

·   Places replacement office supply stock on proper shelves according to stock number.

·Verifies the amount indicated on invoices that are received and assists other City employees in filing their office material supply request.
