Research Support Analyst
The Research Support Analyst participates in the gathering, editing, analyzing, compiling, and reporting of statistical data and other information for the Department. This includes selecting, applying, and interpreting complex statistical techniques, designing computerized models, and analyzing and presenting the results in narrative and/or graphic form.
The Department/Division:
The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) is a progressive regulatory state agency. The Information Management Division’s (IMD) mission is to provide high-quality and affordable information analysis, information technology services, and information management leadership to effectively support DCBS and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of six-quarter units in elementary statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and three years of experience as a research assistant comparable to the work of a Research Analyst 1; or two years experience using computer applications to help gather, compile, analyze, and report information and statistical data.
A Bachelor’s Degree may substitute for the required experience.

® Ability to gather, compile, and analyze research data, and present reports and summaries in tabular, graphic, and pictorial form.
® Ability to use computer applications for data analysis, including statistical software packages.
® General knowledge of statistical principles and procedures.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary $32,748 to $47,544 annually, plus benefits.

Visitors can experience the wonders of the ocean by exploring tide pools or joining whale watchers during the whales' twice-yearly migration or view the sea life up close at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
