SCHIP Program Liaison (03305)

Job Responsibilities: Travel throughout the State of South Carolina, working primarily in the community; occasional weekend and evening hours required Serve as the point of contact for SCDHHS and health plans regarding the SCHIP program Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on SCHIP to the MAXIMUS South Carolina Program staff Ensure that all SCHIP Program information on the MAXIMUS Knowledge Center and Training is accurate and up-to-date Represent MAXIMUS at all SCDHHS meeting related to SCHIP Support the MAXIMUS Community Outreach team in all areas related to SCHIP and ensure that there is an adequate inventory of SCHIP materials at all times Perform other duties as assigned by project management

Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university One to three years of health, human services, or health insurance experience required Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact courteously and effectively with a variety of audiences Experience with public speaking Ability to handle pressure and perform multiple tasks Ability to work independently Experience entering data into automated information systems Knowledge of local health care networks and providers Bilingual capabilities desirable, but not required Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel statewide is required Familiarity with the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and Medicaid population in South Carolina preferred
