Senior Budget & Mgmt Analayst

SUMMARY:  Responsible for performing fully proficient, professional budgeting and management analysis work such as assisting with the annual budget and multi-year budgeting; assisting with managed competition studies: and, coordinating Performance Management Plan maintenance and reporting.  Work requires limited supervision and the use of independent judgment and discretion.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

-Knowledge of budgeting, finance, accounting, municipal laws and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.

-Skill in the use of research and analysis methods, survey techniques and statistical/financial analysis and reporting methods; includes skill in analyzing and interpreting fiscal records and reports.

-Effective oral and written communication skills; includes preparing reports of all types.

-Good working knowledge of computer applications relative to budgeting and management information systems; must learn new applications quickly.

-Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional ability to effectively communicate and maintain good working relationships with employees, the public and departmental officials.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, General Business Administration, or a related field.

-Two years experience in either budgeting or conducting research.

 

PAY RATE:

$47,603.00 - $51,092.00
