The City and County of Denver’s Enterprise Resources Services is seeking a Senior IT Systems Analyst (PeopleSoft HCM) to support the City’s PeopleSoft Human Resource system. The Senior Analyst will function as the lead liaison between the functional business users and developers.

The responsibilities for this position are as follows:

 

Troubleshooting Benefits Administration, Human Resources and Position Management systems.

 

Performing fit/gap analysis, writing design specifications, developing reports and queries, producing functional and technical documentation, system testing, and training users on various City wide systems.

 

Oversee and mentor the work of functional analysts and consultants, and track the progress of others in the group to ensure project deliverables are met.

 

Plans and performs business process analysis of major business activities and functions with numerous internal and external organizations including City agencies, software vendors, and technical or functional consultants, and guides the subsequent design and implementation or improvement of integrated technology solutions.

 

Leads and/or performs requirements gathering, functional decomposition, workflow analyses and logical system design tasks necessary to provide a complete solution for resolving business problems and exploiting integrated technology opportunities.

 

As necessary, acting as project manager on internal projects including the responsibility to produce and maintain a simple project plan.

 

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

 

Requires Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a directly related field.

 

Three years of professional  IT experience, to include the following skill sets: Systems analysis of PeopleSoft HR and Benefits system processes. Application troubleshooting. Relational database knowledge and experience writing in SQL. Creation of test procedures and code testing in a PeopleSoft environment.

 

A combination of the appropriate type and level of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.

 

The preferred candidate will have, in addition to the above minimum requirements, the following: Knowledge of PeopleTools, PeopleCode and SQR Experience in PS HR 9.0 Experience in project management including, gathering requirements, producing business process flows, driving timelines, and coordinating all project phases.
