Senior Network Engineer

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Work with Server Team Lead and Jr. Server Engineer as well as the Network and IT Support teams. Individual will support an established Windows 2003 Server infrastructure, currently being migrated to VMWARE ESX Server/Windows 2003 Server infrastructure. Individual will be focused on ensuring system security.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

o System monitor - Monitor system health and logs
o IAVA compliance monitor - ensure all systems meet current IAVAs and CTOs; perform necessary system scanning and evaluation of results
o IA liaison - Collaborate with IA to report IAVA and CTO compliance; provide necessary information for system accreditation; attend meetings concerning any new system IA requirements
o HBSS administrator - Provide administrative support for JTF-GNO mandated HBSS product

QUALIFICATIONS

o Active DoD Secret security clearance
o Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2003 in an enterprise environment
o Strong communication skills; desire to work as part of a team
o Familiar with VMWare ESX server
o MCSE Windows 2003
o Veritas Backup Exec
o CISSP preferred
o CS/EE degree preferred
o Exceptional working knowledge of current technologies
o Strong troubleshooting skills
o Strong Customer Relations Skills
o CS/EE degree preferred
o Minimum 4-6 years of related experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
General office environment, No special physical demands required. Some lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds required.
