The Operations Service Group (OSG) of the Systems Integration and Technical Support Services (SITSS) Product Line within NSGB specializes in providing training, exercises, planning, concepts of operation, hazardous response, and other operational services to both Government and commercial clients throughout the world. OSG is seeking a Senior Operations Officer with operations and exercise experience to work on site with the customer in the National Capital Region on a full-time basis. Some domestic travel is anticipated. Salary will be determined based on education and experience. A full benefits package will be provided. Relocation support may be available. The successful candidate must have a current Secret security clearance. Selected applicant will be responsible for the technical lead of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) protection projects throughout the United States. These projects will include the protection of buildings from Chemical and Biological (CB) terrorism in support of Homeland Defense. Responsibilities will include the conduct of assessment surveys and development of concept of operations (CONOPS) in support of these surveys. Additional responsibilities will include the development of training and exercise plans in support of CBRNE defense projects. The position will require excellent written and verbal skills. The applicant will be required to present project results and the analysis of these results in clear and concise written and verbal reports to selected government and commercial audiences. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - BS or MS in Life Sciences, Engineering or related field. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - CBRNE Operations experience in protection, detection and decontamination procedures. - 10+ years of experience in CBRNE training and exercise development. - Detail oriented with the ability to work under deadlines. - Team oriented and possesses the ability to work closely with other team members. - Secret Security Clearance, individual must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS - MS or PhD in Life Sciences, Engineering or related field. - Some experience with the Department of Homeland Security or FEMA. - Experience with chemical and biological infrastructure protection projects. - Top Secret security clearance. CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Provide technical leadership on all aspects of Homeland Defense, with emphasis on CBRNE related to these projects. - Maintain both formal and informal communications with sponsors including responsibilities for reports and presentations.
