Senior Software Engineer

The Systems Technology Division is looking for a Software Engineer that will work on a team of engineers and scientists developing advancements in biometric identification technology supporting force protection, homeland defense and other human-based threats. Selected candidate will take part in full life-cycle development, including requirements, functional and design specifications, implementation, testing and analysis, for a multi-tiered data warehouse systems housing digital imagery and metadata. In addition to the biometrics identification system, will have the opportunity to work on a variety of systems related to sensors, imagery, communications, and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR).

Education: BS in CS, CE, Applied Math or a related field. MS degree desired.

Required Skills: Must have at least 5 years of software development experience. Previous experience or course work involving object-oriented analysis and design, object-oriented programming, database development (i.e. embedded SQL modules) and multi-tiered client-server application development. Must have experience with a variety of the following Java, SQL, XML, C++, VC++, C, RDBMS, Unix (preferably Red Hat and SuSe) Postgres. Should be familiar with full life cycle development processes.

Candidate must have an active Top Secret security clearance to be considered.
Desired Skills: Tomcat, Apache, XSLT, HTML, Windows 2000, Perl, Cold Fusion.
