Senior Software Engineer-Aerospace

As a Software Engineer you will be coding in C for avionic systems for large rockets for NASA. You will work with a team of Hardware and Software Engineers on modeling and simulation of hardware. Responsibilities include insuring the analysis, design, documentation, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software. Must be proficient in coding ''C''. Some simulation and modeling software development experience under various operating systems. Ability to define software requirements, perform detailed design, and coding. Ability to work as an individual software developer on a program. Strong customer interface and responsible for acting as the Software focal point to software lead, customer, and hardware team. Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills in concisely and accurately reporting technical details. Hands-on experience generating simulations and models to test hardware. Basic Requirements Proficiency in C/C++, Ada, and/or other high-order languages. Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and perform to commitments. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of Software Engineering principles, with emphasis on design, code and requirement development skills. Able to travel approximately 20% to meet with NASA. BS or BA Computer Science, or Software Engineer, or related Additional: Experience in Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing a plus. Simulation experience with TRICK a plus. Linux operating system experience is a plus. Familiarity with National Instruments LabView Real Time System a plus. ATK is on the move.
