Location: Germantown, MDYour location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Systems Security Engineer will support the cyber security operations for a major Federal Government Agency. The individual will perform day-to-day administrative activities for enterprise cyber security solutions, provide forensic analysis support and incident response to the 24x7 Security Operations Center, and develop custom code and automaton for integration of COTS solutions with existing capabilities.   QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor degree Information Technology. MSCE, RHCE, and CISSP certification are preferred.Experience:  Five (5) to ten (10) years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.  Required Skills: · Experience with Encase Enterprise and FTK.· Experience with Bluecoat Proxy and Antivirus solutions.· Experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and HIPS 7.0.· Experience with event correlation and incident management systems.· Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking including knowledge of protocols and services.  Individuals should be capable of interpreting packet captures.· Experience performing “deep dive” analysis and correlation of log data from multiple sources.· Experience with leveraging common scripting languages (e.g., PERL) to parse logs, automate processes, and integrate systems.· Linux system administration experience (RHEL/CentOS preferred), especially as related to network capabilities and leveraging open-source technologies.  The individual should be comfortable working in a non-GUI environment.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  About Hudson IT & Telecommunications Hudson IT&T serves as a trusted resource for clients seeking high-quality technology professionals and IT solutions.
