Shift Supervisor/Patrolman

We invite you to apply on-line at www.greatsecurityjobs.com Security Officer Basic Qualifications: •Requires excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and be articulate. •Individual must have high integrity, possess strong leadership skills and be extremely reliable. •Professional appearance and demeanor. •Must be able to climb stairs, lift and carry up to 75lbs, walk, stand and/or sit up to 8 hrs. per day. •Must be able to work effectively both in and outdoors during all weather conditions. •Intermediate to advanced computer skills desired. •Experience with CCTV, Access Control systems and security technology preferred. •Previous military experience and/or active government clearance desired. The Patrol Sergeant is the designated shift supervisor for onsite security personnel. As a shift supervisor, the Patrol Sergeant is required to direct and supervise all subordinate personnel on duty during his/her tour of patrol. This responsibility entails, but not limited to assuring that all posts are staffed, officers are in complete uniform, have the necessary equipment and supplies to perform their assigned tasks, alert and performing their duties as outlined in the OPM. The Patrol Sergeant will visit each post at a minimum of once per hour while performing his/her routine patrols. The Patrol Sergeant will perform training and retraining when need and will have limited authorization to initiate the disciplinary process when needed. The Patrol Sergeant will patrol the interior and exterior of the facility in marked security units and conduct security checks within a specific geographical area. The Patrol Sergeant will have to issue traffic violation warnings / notices, drive to various parts of the refinery for escorts, write detailed comprehensive daily reports showing what they observed and acted upon, interview witnesses / victims, and enforce our client’s policies and procedures. The Patrol Sergeant must be able to show good judgment, common sense ethics, follow directions and directives from superiors, and follow company and client policy and guidelines. The Patrol Sergeant must present a professional appearance and attitude and be able to interact with the public. The Patrol Sergeant must be able to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other critical incidents in the face of danger. The Patrol Sergeant must be able to adequately function with electronic devices; pagers, phones, 2 way radios, computers, etc. Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent • Minimum age of 21 • Valid Texas Driver License with no more than (2) minor violations in the past (3) years. • No moving violations or suspensions on DL record. • Able to pass background check and drug test • Minimum of two years experience in the field of security/ and or law enforcement • Minimum of 1 year verifiable supervisory experience • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. • Must be able to work current set cycle of rotating shifts • Must have a high school diploma or GED, or at least 10 years of verifiable employment history. • At least one verifiable employer. • No criminal convictions as specified under AlliedBarton guidelines. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing. • Authorized to work in the United States. • Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. • Negative result on pre-employment drug screen. • Successful completion of AlliedBarton’s Security Officer Basic Course exam. • Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard. • Neat and professional appearance. • Friendly and professional demeanor. • Ability to provide quality customer service. • Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively at client site.
